2015 Subscription Renewal

If you were at the AGM – and thank you the many who came – you will know that the subscription rate was increased.  And there are several other changes that affect subscriptions, probably the most important being that the basic subscription will no longer cover the national U3A magazine.

So please read these notes carefully, so you can make the right choice.

The basic renewal subscription is £24 per person.  For an extra £2 per address a copy of each issue of the national magazine will be posted to the address.  Note carefully that this £2 is per address, not person, and so for a couple at the same address renewing and taking the magazine the cost will be a round £50 (2x£24 plus £2).  Do make sure that the amount of your cheque is correct for the service you want as I can only act on what the cheque covers.

The second point concerns programme cards.  These are currently being printed with the new committee.  They are a useful reminder that one has paid this year’s subscription – this year’s card will be green – and we are hoping that convenors will be checking that everyone taking part in U3A activities does have this year’s card.  So it is important that you do collect and keep safe your card.  A worrying number of renewing members last year neither included an SAE with their renewal by post nor collected their card at a monthly meeting.  So an SAE with a postal renewal is important.
